Projects

Zaster Web Application

Created a web application powered by DragonBoard 410c running on Debian 9 Stretch to track the coordinates of the ISS using the NASA API. I used the Hubblesite API to display recent news regarding astronomy. Zaster also detects individual objects and faces within images and reads printed words contained within images using the Google Cloud Platform, in which I used a Vision API.

Technologies Used: NodeJS, ExpressJS, Embedded JavaScript, CSS, HTML

MagicMirror

Assembled a raspberry pi powered monitor behind a double-sided mirror. It displays multiple panels containing various activities (weather, calendar, news, etc). I also provided the option to display the information in Arabic.

Technologies Used: JavaScript, CSS, HTML

FPGA VGA Arcade Game

Developed a hardware/software SoC design on Altera DE1-SoC board that implements an arcade game on top of a VGA driver.

Technologies Used: Verilog, SystemVerilog, C

Solar Tracker

Programmed a servo motor to turn a set of light sensors towards a light source. This system could be used to keep a solar cell pointed directly at the sun. A time of day and angle readout (LCD) are expected. From 6AM to 6PM, at 6AM it should be at pos. 0 and at 6PM it should be at pos. 180.

Technologies Used: C++
